ABOUT THE The Citadel
The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, is a public senior military college located in Charleston, South Carolina. Established in 1842, it is one of six senior military colleges in the United States. The Citadel has 18 academic departments divided into five schools offering 31 majors and 57 minors. The military program is made up of cadets pursuing bachelor’s degrees who live on campus. The non-military programs offer 12 undergraduate degrees, 26 graduate degrees, as well as evening and online programs with seven online graduate degrees, three online undergraduate degrees, and three certificate programs.
TUITION AND COST
According to the official website of The Citadel, the tuition and fees for the 2023-2024 academic year are as follows:
South Carolina Resident Undergraduate $500 per credit hour
Non-Resident Undergraduate $1,000 per credit hour
South Carolina Resident Graduate $289 per credit hour
Non-Resident Graduate $578 per credit hour
In addition to tuition and fees, students are also required to pay for room and board, textbooks, and other expenses. The cost of attendance for the 2023-2024 academic year is estimated to be $30,000 for in-state students and $45,000 for out-of-state students.
